Gary D. Nelson

Chairman

Gary D. Nelson focuses on strategic planning for WorkforceLogic and the Nelson Family of Companies. With his wealth of experience in all aspects of the human resources industry, he is considered an expert in the human capital and talent management business. He continues to explore new avenues to provide value to clients and to continue to establish WorkforceLogic and the Nelson Family of Companies as clear leaders in the workforce management and human capital industry. Gary's keen grasp of prevailing economic and business trends has enabled him to lead the Company to its position as Northern California's leading independent talent acquisition firm and one of the 100 largest staffing companies in the United States. A graduate of San Jose State University with advanced work in industrial relations, Gary had ten years of experience in human resources before founding the Nelson Family of Companies in 1970.

Prior to founding the Nelson Family of Companies, he was associated with Data Technology Corporation, Fairchild Semiconductor, American Optical Corporations' Analytical Instrument Division, Marin General Hospital and the California State Personnel Board. In his local community, Gary is recognized as an outspoken advocate for healthcare and education. As a community activist and philanthropist, he has spearheaded efforts to open and support public charter schools. He was a leader in developing Sonoma's "Field of Dreams" project to create a major youth baseball and soccer complex. Gary and his wife, Marcia, have established the Gary and Marcia Nelson Community Care Fund
and Endowment in support of emergency room services in
Sonoma Valley.

Jonathan H. Parker

Chief Executive Officer

Jonathan H. Parker joined the Nelson Family of Companies in 2008 after serving on the Company’s Board of Directors for more than five years. “JP” is responsible for strategic planning, business growth and profitability for all operating units of the Nelson Family of Companies. Parker has more than 30 years experience planning and directing business expansion for national and international companies in a variety of industries. He is a respected expert on marketing, strategic planning, and organization development with senior management.

Prior to joining Nelson, JP spent five years with Boston Private Financial Holdings, with four of those years as President of the Western Region for this publicly-traded firm before his advancement to Vice Chairman. Parker had responsibility for five operating companies in the West with approximately 400 employees and profits of $25 million. He also led the acquisition program in the West and was a member of the seven-person Senior Policy Group for the enterprise.

Prior to Boston Private, Parker was a Founding Partner of Edgar, Dunn & Company (EDC) a management consulting firm operating from offices on three continents. He was engaged by boards and executive officers seeking guidance on strategic planning, marketing/sales strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and profit improvement.

JP serves on the Board of Advisors for Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance. A graduate of Tufts University, Parker also holds an MBA from George Washington University.

Steve McCarthy

Chief Operating Officer

Steve McCarthy joined the Nelson Family of Companies on
October 1, 2004. His roles have included managing all finance and administration, operations, sales and marketing efforts for the company. Currently, Steve is focused on managing strategy and all aspects of operations for WorkforceLogic.

Prior to joining Nelson, from 2000 through 2003, Steve served as the Chief Executive Officer of Base Consulting Group, a leader in Business Intelligence and Data warehousing Solutions. During Steve’s tenure the company focused on clearly articulating and delivering value added solutions to its clients in order to maintain its leadership position. During the third quarter of 2003 the company was acquired. Prior to his tenure with BASE, Steve worked for the Robert Mondavi Corporation from 1996 through 1999, initially as Corporate Controller and then as its Chief Financial Officer. In addition to his corporate industry experience, Steve spent 10 years with Price Waterhouse serving clients in a broad range of industries.

Mark G. Nelson

President, Client Development & Strategy

Mark G. Nelson joined the Nelson Family of Companies in 1988 after spending several years with the San Francisco office of Price Waterhouse and Company. Mark is a California Certified Public Accountant and graduated from the University of San Francisco with a B.S. in Accounting in 1985. Mark founded the Accountants Plus (now known as Nelson and Associates) division in 1988 to fill clients' needs for a variety of accounting and finance professionals. He became Vice President of Nelson in 1990 and then President and Chief Operating Officer in 1995. Mark has played a primary role in the initiation, development and growth of the Nelson businesses including Nelson Technology, the former ABE and Nelson and Associates. He has held a myriad of positions within the Nelson Family of Companies including Account Executive, Branch Manager, Regional Manager and Vice President.

Over the years Mark has been instrumental in directing critical elements of the business including strategic planning, sales and marketing, operations, recruitment and retention, and administration. Mark is a strong community advocate and has held Board positions for a number of not-for-profits, including Bread and Roses and the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce. He resides in San Rafael, California, along with his wife Stacy and son Aidan.

Lydia Wilson

Executive Vice President, Business Development

With over twenty years of staffing industry experience Lydia Wilson has an intimate understanding of vendor on premise and managed service programs. She has sold and implemented over 100 programs in her career and has overseen sales and operations for a global and national staffing provider. In her role at WorkforceLogic, Lydia oversees global sales and channel business development. With an undergraduate degree in Sociology from Whitman College Lydia is a member of the Society of Human Resources, President’s Committee for Employment of People with Disabilities and a Board Member of the Barbic Foundation.

Todd Trask

Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer for WorkforceLogic, Todd sets the architecture and technical direction of the application as well as manages the development and quality assurance groups.
Todd was one of the original two architects of the WorkforceLogic
Workforce Management software solution, designing the data model, framework and user interface.

Todd is an integral part of WorkforceLogic's management team, working closely with the Product Management and Sales organizations to ensure the technology tools meet and exceed expectations. Todd keeps a keen eye on industry and technology trends to keep WorkforceLogic at the forefront of technological change, while simultaneously ensuring that the platforms used to develop the technology tools are stable to maximize the user experience. Prior to joining WorkforceLogic, Todd founded two web development companies, one of which was acquired by the Nelson Family of Companies in 2001. In both companies Todd's roll was both as principal and software architect. In these roles Todd designed solutions to meet a variety of needs for small and large companies within Northern California. Todd graduated from Kansas State University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medicine; Todd is a two time All-American in track and field. Prior to moving into the technology field, Todd was a professional runner and triathlete for 6 years. Sponsored by Mizuno and Nike, Todd competed in national and world championships, including the world-famous Ironman.

Brandon Crowell

Director of Development

Brandon Crowell joined the Nelson Family of Companies in January 2005. As the Director of Development, Brandon provides the day-to-day management of the software development and maintenance teams. He ensures that the deliverables of each team meet the agreed upon expectations of its customers, both internal and external.

Prior to joining the Company, Brandon spent four years as a Senior Software Engineer with Dynatex International and four years as Assistant Engineering Manager with Masterwork Electronics. With over eight years of experience in electronics and software development, Brandon brings a wealth of experience to the Nelson Family of Companies. Brandon has a BS in Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
